This is Jiayi Shen, a postgraduate student in the final year of Mater of Computing at CECS. I am running for the position of Women’s Officer at PARSA, in order to foster a respectful environment and speak up for women. I want to support more women with their education, mental health, security and any other related issues, as well as build a safer and more comfortable space for women on campus.
With one-year experience as the College of CECS Officer (Coursework) in 2022, I have helped many CECS postgraduates with their issues and have gained more confidence in acting as a conductor of women students' support. As a large part of ANU, the voices of women need to be heard. I am quite looking forward to being the Women’s Officer and being responsible for devising and leading the organisation’s work on women's issues at ANU.
