As a current post graduate student at ANU and a parent of small children, I understand firsthand the competing priorities and challenges that come with post graduate study while parenting or caring. I understand the need for flexibility, and the complications that come with balancing work, study, and the care of another. I also understand the need to put the welfare of the person you are caring for first, and the impact this can have on study.
As the Parent and Carer’s Officer at PARSA, I will listen to you while working with the amazing PARSA team to advocate for you while building our community. Together, we will enable the best possible environment for post graduate students with parenting or caring responsibilities.
