Rubab Bahar (Postgraduate Voice)

Hi! My name is Rubab Bahar and I am an international student from Bangladesh, currently doing my master’s degree in International Relations (IR). Since a very young age, I have been lucky enough to travel around the globe, sparking my interest in my field. However, it does not stop there: I have always strived for roles in leadership and community development, particularly through development projects in my hometown, Chattogram. Growing up in a military and a business-minded family, I have always involved myself with roles that enable me to understand the importance of unity and collaboration for an efficient output amidst various challenges and in various environments. To pursue my goals, I completed my bachelor’s degree at the University of Westminster, London, in IR and Development, after which I moved to Australia. I am well aware of the challenges facing postgraduate students and I hope to proceed on a mutually beneficial platform.

Working as your CAP Coursework Officer is an important role that dictates working with a collective to support the institution, especially given recent developments from the university, a role I am confident of performing effectively. If given the chance, I will be thrilled to support PARSA in its activities wherever possible.

Given the opportunity, I aim to bring in all my experience to help PARSA accomplish its goals through collaboration and a keen focus on results. It is important to be transparent in our continued efforts with the ANU. Our ticket aims to give a voice to all postgraduates, and I believe we can fulfill that promise.
