Hello everyone, my name is Jose Cobian Alvarez and I am currently doing my last year of Ph.D. in Economics at Crawford School of Public Policy, CAP. My research interest includes environmental economics, economic development, applied economics, econometrics, and microeconomics. I am running for CAP HDR Officer to engage more HDR students of my College into PARSA events and connect useful resources with HDR students who require financial support. I have previously worked as Treasurer in the Latin American Student Association (LASA) during the period 2020-2021, contributing to the promotion of cultural, educational and social events in ANU. This prior experience will definitely help me develop events and activities that enhance connectivity among PhD peers within ANU community.
